The ageless, timeless, Wizard has been a regular on the New Orleans scene for many, many, years. You may have seen him on one of the various Bourbon St. web cams, on National Geographic Tornados and Hurricanes, on many of the local TV and movie programs shown all over the world, or on B.B.C. worldwide Mardi Gras programming. When Visiting New Orleans,visitors used to usually find him strolling on Decatur, Royal, or Bourbon Sts., in and around Jackson Square, or in any of the * Major Hotels * or* Convention * spots. Some times if the visitor was lucky, the Wizard would be found pushing his "World Famous Wishing Well", and the lucky visitor could make an instant wish on the spot.

Return with us now from those thrilling days of yesteryear, before Jackie Clarkson and her lackeys of sanitation and persecution, turned the Decatur St. corridor, and the French Quarter, into a high rent sterile Condo Wasteland. No more hair wrappers, street people, gutter punks, guitar players, Goths, hanger-arounds, and various other colorful characters. Now days, just tourists with cameras taking pictures of other tourists, being hassled and rushed along Decatur St., into the jaws of Harrah's Casino, at the foot of Canal Street. The city says they are getting rid of the fortune tellers and readers in Jackson Square to protect the tourists from getting ripped off. If they really cared about the tourists getting ripped of, they might notice that the big rip off is right under their noses at the foot of Canal St. to the tune of about 23,000,000 a month. Not a peep about that. Might hurt the campaign funds.

Nutty Nagin as Mayor of Cholate City, 300 people living in tents under the overpass by City Hall high fiving C.Ray on one his rare showups in New Orleans from his home in Dallas, TB, venereal disease, crack, killings, homeless, junkies, panhandlers, got your shoes guys, hookers,car jackers, armed robbers and thugs, gangs of black drag queens looting stores and hitting each other over the heads with their high heels in drug turf wars, used condoms on Quarter doorsteps every morning, termites eating the cables underground and the buildings above ground, no mental health care, paper being stuffed in levees instead of steel, "the movin on up" Jeffersons looting every black disadvantaged fund they can get their hands on, no court system, no legal aid, no sanitary jails, and on and on, I'm gettin writer's cramp. Just name what any modern city needs and New Orleans doesn't have it. Mugabee might be a better Mayor than Nagin. Third world countries are more modern. Chavez and Castro have health care at least.
It was time for The Wizard to boogie to Old Salem NC where the quality of life in comparisson is like the Moon to The Garden of Eden. Except the Moon, at least, is quiet and doesn't have all the above bs New Orleans has today.
